How Can acid Reflux Along With Stomach Bloating Be Treated?

hello, ? i have a problem when i go to sleep i wake up choking with acid re flux where i can not breath my belly is bloated and when i throw up every thing in my stomach i am still choking and gasping for air. what is up is this a link to another problem ?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description,you have gastroesophageal re flux disease (GERD).
You need to first make lifestyle modifications to treat this.

1. Minimize coffee or tea
2. Minimize alcohol (or stop it all together)
3. Quit smoking if you do.
4. Avoid spices, especially pepper and red chillies
5. Drink lots of water
6. Avoid citrus fruits and juices
7. Avoid pain killers
8. Sleep with double pillows
9. Avoid smoked or grilled food

Antacids like Gelusil will do wonders for you. You will need drugs like Omeprazole on empty stomach for around 3-4 weeks along with antacids. Weight reduction is highly recommended.
